Job Summary And Qualifications
Evaluate patients, develop care plans to treat patients, use procedures and techniques to change condition/function consistent with the rehabilitation diagnosis and prognosis, supervise and coordinate therapeutic care, and communicate evaluation results to patients, families, and appropriate staff. Teach and mentor other staff and participate in the management of resources for patient care and organizational improvement. Provide services off‑site within the scope of the job description as needed by the department.

Your role will include

Evaluating each patient’s functional abilities and needs, then developing individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and the care team.

Delivering skilled, evidence‑based interventions that promote healing, independence, and quality of life through purposeful, compassionate care.

Monitoring patient progress, adjusting plans as needed, and ensuring thorough, timely documentation that reflects quality outcomes.

Educating patients and families to build understanding, confidence, and engagement throughout recovery and beyond.

Collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care, safe environments, and exceptional patient experiences.

Leading by example—providing guidance to therapy assistants or students and upholding HCA Healthcare’s mission, values, and commitment to excellence.

Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy.

Preferred Education: None.

Required License: Current North Carolina license to practice Occupational Therapy.

Preferred License: None.

Required Experience: None required – new graduate eligible.

Preferred Experience: Clinical experience in a wide variety of acute care procedures, especially orthopedics, neurology, cardiopulmonary, and care of burns/open wounds, is helpful.
