What You Will Do
As a Teller/Banker, you will often deliver the very first impression of the credit union to our members, becoming an expert and champion of Security Service products and services to help them reach their financial goals. You will build and nurture long‑lasting relationships by promoting checking and savings accounts, loans, credit cards, and insurance services, while only offering products that meet members' needs and contribute to their financial success. You will support the credit union in becoming America’s best by meeting sales goals, proactively identifying cross‑sell opportunities, and educating members on digital services available to them. You will provide universal service and will be cross‑trained in both teller and banker functions to better serve members, creating additional learning and growth opportunities. You will complete any other job‑related duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our purpose, and abide by our organization’s values.

Pay
Pay Starting at $21.00/hr, plus based on relevant experience.

What We Require

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of two (2) years of retail banking, cash handling, customer service and sales, or comparable experience.

Customer‑centric attitude focused on delivering great experiences while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a goal‑driven mindset.

Proficiency in computer software including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with ability to focus in a fast‑paced environment.

Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule during normal business hours; never work another Sunday.

May be required to travel to and from other branch locations for work and/or training.

At management discretion, employee may be required to complete, within 180 days of request, federal registration as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) per the Secure and Fair Enforcement of Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (S.A.F.E. Act), maintain active registration, and comply with all requirements, including background checks against the GSA Excluded Parties List, HUD Limited Denial of Participation List, and FHFA Suspended Counterparty Program list.

Ideal Candidate Will Have

A desire to learn and grow within the credit union.

Prior experience with banking or financial institution core systems and platforms.

Experience recommending products and services that meet customer needs.

Ability to ask appropriate high‑impact questions to discover needs customers may not know they have.
