Overview
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse Resident
Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO
Department: Oncology Progressive
Status: Full-Time - 36 hours/week
Shift: Nights (1900-0730)

Qualifications
Experience: 1 year of RN experience is preferred.
Education: Associate's, Diploma, or BSN from a school of nursing.
Licensure: Current RN license in the hiring state/compact; must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire; other unit-specific certifications as required.
Physical requirements:
Push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds regularly.
Prolonged standing and walking each shift.
Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
