Job Summary
The CareSource Artificial Intelligence (AI) Intern will collaborate with cross‑functional teams supporting enterprise‑wide AI initiatives that drive innovation and operational excellence. The intern cohort will be comprised of highly motivated college seniors or recent graduates with strong foundations in Artificial Intelligence.
Essential Functions
Assist in translating business problems into AI‑enabled solutions.
Participate in pod‑based delivery teams focused on tangible operational outcomes (cost, quality, experience, compliance).
Help validate AI outputs for accuracy, fairness, and regulatory alignment.
Document AI use cases, workflows, assumptions, and results to support adaptability.
Prepare summaries, dashboards, and presentations for leadership and governance forums.
Perform any other job‑related duties as requested.
Education and Experience
High School or GED required.
Must be enrolled as a senior‑level college student and on track to graduate within the upcoming academic cycle or be a recent graduate from a bachelor's degree program at an accredited institution.
Strong academic performance in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 2.5 cumulative GPA required.
Competencies, Knowledge and Skills
Hands‑on experience with AI/ML techniques (e.g., machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision).
Familiarity with one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, R, Java) preferred.
Knowledge of relevant AI frameworks required.
Ability to collaborate effectively in an in‑office environment and communicate with various teams.
Effective problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Effective listening and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Dependable, flexible, and ability to maintain confidential information.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Licensure and Certification
None required.
Working Conditions
General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Travel is not typically required.
Background Check
Employment in this position is conditional pending successful clearance of a criminal background check. If the criminal background results are unacceptable, the offer will be withdrawn or, if the employee has started in the position, employment in the position will be terminated.
Compensation Range
$41,200.00 - $66,000.00 CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate's education, training, and experience as well as the position's scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance. We are highly invested in every employee's total well‑being and offer a substantial and comprehensive total rewards package.
