Shift: Shift 1
Shift Details:
3 days a week. 8 hour day shift. Alternating days at Froedtert Hospital Benign Hematology and Mooreland Reserve Health Center in New Berlin. This RN will be cross-trained in Benign Hematology and Sickle Cell. Monday-Friday 08-1630. No weekends, and no holidays.
Job Summary
The Staff RN-Ambulatory Clinics works collaboratively as an active member of the interprofessional team to provide therapeutic patient and family‑centered care. They systematically and continuously collect and assess data related to patient health status to develop, execute, and evaluate the plan of care. They utilize evidence to drive clinical decisions and practice related to individual and population health. They establish goals and strategies for meeting care‑coordination needs across settings with the patient, family, and/or other care providers. They consider factors related to safety, effectiveness, and fiscal accountability in planning and delivering care. They delegate and supervise care in accordance with the WI Nurse Practice. They participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and assume responsibility for their professional development. Major accountabilities include patient care coordination, direct patient care, patient education, telephone triage/eVisits, and performing/assisting with in‑clinic minor procedures. May float to other areas as needed for operations. Other duties as assigned.
Experience Description
Clinical experience and/or interest in the care and management of patient populations specific to the area of employment. At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience, preferred.
Education Description
Nursing Licensure Required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Preferred.
Training Description
Oncology: RNs must have/attain an oncology nursing certification or complete 12 hours oncology‑focused CE education/year on an ongoing basis.
Licensure Description
Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi‑state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
