Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the GSC R&D Colorant Strategy team to work on projects related to colorant dispersions raw material and product development. Duties include formulation, testing, and product application of colorant dispersion and paint products. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
Duties
Apply knowledge of dispersion/paint formulation to product development.
Support R&D lab projects to evaluate, generate, and confirm colorant formulas.
Perform batch-making and testing, including weighing, mixing, pouring, tinting, drawing down, and evaluating.
Communicate with team, manufacturing and support groups to ensure successful commercialization.
Develop knowledge of product lines and colorant systems.
Participate in continuous‑improvement projects.
Document lab results and technical information accurately.
Present findings verbally and in written reports.
Qualifications
Basic Qualification:
Legally authorized to work in the country applying for employment, without needing future sponsorship.
At least 18 years of age.
Formal Education:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
Preferred: Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical or Material Engineering.
Knowledge & Experience:
Required: Basic knowledge of statistics and data analysis.
Required: Project leadership/management experience.
Preferred: 0–2 years of experience in pigment dispersion and/or coating formulation, application, and testing.
Technical/Skill Requirements:
Must be able to identify color differences.
Travel Requirements
10% travel.
