Auto Body Repair Technician
Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Repair Technician to join our award‑winning team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for restoring vehicles to their pre‑accident condition through expert‑level bodywork, structural repair, and refinishing. We’re looking for a technician who takes pride in craftsmanship, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and is committed to delivering exceptional results and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough vehicle damage assessments and follow repair plans based on OEM specifications and insurance estimates
Repair and restore vehicles with structural and cosmetic damage
Replace or repair damaged body panels, suspensions, and related components
Perform dent repair, apply body filler (Bondo), and sand panels for refinishing
Prep, mask, and refinish vehicles to ensure proper color match and finish quality
Operate specialized tools and equipment safely and efficiently, including MIG, TIG, and resistance welding systems
Maintain a clean, organized, and safety‑compliant work area
Follow all safety guidelines, environmental regulations, and shop procedures
Collaborate with estimators, parts personnel, and service advisors to ensure timely and accurate repairs
Document repairs and communicate progress with supervisors and team members
Qualifications
2 to 5+ years of experience in auto body or collision repair
Proficiency in welding techniques (MIG, TIG, resistance) and use of specialized tools and equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to read and interpret repair estimates and OEM repair procedures
I‑CAR certification desirable; ASE certification a plus
Applicants are expected to have their own tools; basic equipment can be provided if necessary
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
