
Transmission Lab - Build Mechanic

Responsibilities
Perform mechanical support associated with transmission testing.
Transmission Build Experience. (Machining, following build books, fuji paper, measurement data)
Standard transmission maintenances (fluid/filter change)
Part changes (torque converter, valve body, etc).
Light fabrication (MIG & TIG welding, machining, cutting, etc).
Transmission teardown (torques, data collection, reviewing build books)
Interact on a day-to-day basis with powertrain development engineers to perform work on a test article.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 1 year of general mechanic knowledge
Possess overall good fabrication skills having a high mechanical aptitude and deductive reasoning.
Possess skills for MIG & TIG welding on metals including stainless steel, mild steel, cast iron, and aluminum.
Willingness to work in a team-based environment
Basic knowledge of operating a computer (Microsoft office and teams)
Possession of a mechanics toolbox and hand tool set
Preferred Qualifications
2 years + trans builder experience
Certifications
Hybrid/High Voltage experience
Knowledge of VHSG and TDCI software
