Responsibilities
Coordinates, plans, organizes, and monitors the work of the laboratory.
Documents results and applicable information.
Assures adequate training of staff and staffing levels.
Maintains quality control and calibration functions.
Maintains work area.
Performs and/or gives supervision for laboratory collection and processing procedures.
Assists manager with the budget.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year MT or HTL program approved by a National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent.
Must meet the minimum requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Act of 1988.
Experience
5 years of experience as MT/MLS/CLS/HTL
(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)
Licensure/Certification/Registration/Professional Designation
Registered MT (ASCP/AMT) or HTL (ASCP/AMT) or equivalent.
Compensation/Benefits
$31.31-$51.14/hr depending on previous work experience.
