What You Will Be Doing
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and can identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age‑specific needs.
Positions patients to produce a radiograph as prescribed by a qualified physician.
Provides immobilization devices as required.
Adjusts controls of equipment as needed to produce a radiograph as prescribed by a qualified physician.
Administers drugs or chemical mixtures orally or as enemas to render organs opaque.
Provides radiation protection as needed per exam.
Processes films by either automatic or hand processing.
Transports patients to and from patient waiting area and/or patient rooms assuming responsibility for their safety.
What You Will Bring To The Role
High school graduate or equivalent and satisfactory completion of a formal radiological technology training program in an AMA approved school.
Certification through the National registry American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Current BLS Certification required.
Current Washington State Certification is required.
Demonstrated communication skills consistent with Island Hospital’s mission, vision, values and Promise.
Planning, organization and prioritization skills with demonstrated evidence of critical thinking, problem solving and analytical processing ability.
Self‑motivated, flexible and has the ability work independently and in a team environment, with strong ethical standards.
Adaptability and flexibility to facilitate change while meeting multiple demands and priorities of a challenging position and workload.

Salary Range:
$38.64 – $56.08 per hour
