Preoperative Registered Nurse

As a Preoperative Registered Nurse (RN) at WHA you’ll enjoy no on‑call duties, no weekends, and no holidays while delivering high‑quality, ambulatory care that serves as a hospital alternative for surgical procedures.
Role Responsibilities
• The Pre‑Op Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, continually evaluating their condition to ensure safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in the procedure rooms with conscious sedation and use of sterile techniques as required.
• Deliver comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to prepare for discharge.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
Active RN license in Florida
Certificates in BLS, ACLS & PALS required
Minimum 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs
Strong verbal and written communication skills
