Texas Oncology is looking for a Surgical Physician Liaison Senior to join our team. This position supports the DFW West Region Office in Ft Worth, TX. The role is full‑time, Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, field‑based, remote (not from home).

What Does the Surgical Physician Liaison Sr Do?
The liaison is a sales leader, responsible for prospecting, nurturing and maintaining relationships with referring physicians to achieve practice growth goals.
Responsibilities
Initiate, engage and collaborate with operational leaders, physicians, site managers, and practice staff to understand business needs and execute sales and marketing strategies aligned with practice goals.
Use professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues and ensure appropriate follow‑up.
Maintain ongoing communication with referring physicians and their office staff through visits, emails, and phone calls.
Develop and implement practice growth strategy in core markets and partner with Practice Marketing to execute the selling approach.
Utilize CRM, market analysis, trends, and performance reporting to create sales plans and track practice growth.
Support practice growth through physician engagement at visits, sales calls, tumor boards, community events, trade shows, and cross‑business collaboration.
Possibly supervise and mentor other Oncology Liaisons.
Manage travel expenses, complete expense reports, and use tools such as Salesforce and Business Objects.
Adhere to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics, Business Standards, and Shared Values.
Qualifications
4‑year undergraduate degree, preferably in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, or Healthcare. MBA preferred but not required.
5–7 years of healthcare sales experience, ideally calling on physician accounts.
Proven record of sales success, preferably in healthcare.
Collaborative individual capable of operating in a matrixed environment.
Expertise in consultative sales, call cycles, and territory planning.
Data‑driven decision maker with strong emphasis on market analytics.
Proficient with CRM and business intelligence reporting, preferably Salesforce and Business Objects.
Strategic thinker and financially oriented, able to drive profitable growth.
Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work with a wide range of individuals, particularly physicians.
Expert in conflict management and resolution, handling customer complaints and objections.
Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills; proficient in MS Office.
Physical Demands
The position requires regular sitting or standing, talking or hearing, full range of body motion, manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, standing and walking for extensive periods, lifting up to 40 lbs, and correct vision and hearing.
Work Environment
Employees must be present in assigned territory during business hours. The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to oncology/hematology clinic environments. The role requires in‑person interaction and approximately 70% travel by automobile.
