Overview
We are seeking a skilled General Surgeon for a locum tenens assignment at a healthcare facility in Nebraska, located near Genoa.
Responsibilities
Provide 24/7 acute surgery and trauma surgery coverage
Conduct daily rounds on all patients admitted to the general surgery and trauma services
Manage consults and respond to patient needs as they arise
Perform basic general surgery procedures and provide trauma care
Requirements
Active Nebraska Medical License or IMLC (Letter of Qualification in hand)
Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Certification
Completion of a General Surgery Residency
Clean background and malpractice history
Ability to provide a case log of at least 100 surgeries in the past 12 months, showcasing experience with a variety of cases
Schedule
On‑call coverage: 24‑hour shifts, including weekend availability
Holiday on‑call rate: enhanced holiday rates apply
Shift duration: daily 24‑hour on‑call coverage with flexible scheduling options for January, February, and March
