Psychiatry - Child/Adolescent Physician

Position Overview:

• ️ Role: Psychiatry Physician
• Location: Allegheny County Jail, Pittsburgh, PA
• ️ Schedule:
  • Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
  • One Sunday rotation every 6 weeks (
• ️ Duration: June 1, 2026 December 31, 2026
• Setting: Inpatient unit (male & female patients)
• Credentialing: 60 days

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide psychiatric evaluation and treatment for adults with acute mental health symptoms
• Round on an average of 30 patients in the unit (not all seen daily)
• Participate in Sunday rounding on inpatient male/female patients
• Collaborate with mental health staff and correctional medical teams
• Document assessments and treatment plans accurately and efficiently

Requirements & Certifications:

• Active Pennsylvania medical license
• Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Preferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Experience in acute or inpatient psychiatry highly preferred
