Position Summary
Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff. Perform duties such as taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, changing linens, and other duties as assigned. Obtain information on patient condition as requested by nursing staff and report any changes in patient condition.

Training Program
Functions within a classroom and clinical learning environment to obtain training as unlicensed assistive personnel. While in the clinical learning environment, provide basic patient care under direction and supervision of clinical educator and nursing staff. During clinical rotation, may perform duties such as taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, changing linens and other duties within scope of practice as directed. At the end of the training, a competency assessment will be administered to validate learning.
Job Requirements
Education: Preferred: high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Preferred: prior patient care or health care related experience.
Certified Nurse Assistant / Nurse Assistant / Nurse Assistant Trainees must apply.
Required: 3 months experience as nursing assistant in inpatient or long‑term care, EMT, or surgical technologist in past 3 years; OR completed an unlicensed assistive personnel program within past 3 years; OR completed fundamentals of nursing course with clinical in accredited nursing program; must have Missouri CNA license or MO CNA Appendix and license obtained within 120 days of hire.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS must be obtained within 90 days.
