Position Summary
Be a part of our mission to serve and honor veterans at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at Union Grove (WVHUG). Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of licensed nursing staff and a Nursing Supervisor.
Responsibilities
Assist in patient mobility, stand, walk up to 75% of an eight‑hour day to provide assessments, lift, push, pull, carry, reach, maintain hygiene, and perform patient care tasks as per written care plan.
Support care of members, including those with dementia, to maintain functional level.
Work as part of the health care team at all shifts (AM, PM, NOC).
Shift and Hours
AM 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (60% FTE or 100% FTE)
PM 2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. (60% FTE or 100% FTE)
NOC 10:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. (60% FTE or 100% FTE)
Qualifications
Certification or eligibility for certification as a Wisconsin Nurse Aide.
Eligibility to work in a federally‑certified nursing home as a CNA.
