Darabi Dermatology in Chaska is hiring a part-time histotechnician or histotechnologist.
Darabi Dermatology is a growing medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology practice serving the southwest Twin Cities. Our main clinic is located in Chaska, with satellite locations in Hutchinson and Shakopee. We are known for delivering high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered dermatologic care, including Mohs micrographic surgery and in-house dermatopathology services.
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Histotechnician or Histotechnologist to join our team in Chaska. This is a part-time position (2 days per week) with an immediate start date. The role focuses on processing Mohs surgery specimens and frozen section biopsies in our in-house laboratory.
Key Responsibilities
Accession specimens in our LIS
Prepare and process frozen tissue specimens for Mohs micrographic surgery
Gross, ink, freeze, section, stain, and mount tissue samples with accuracy and efficiency
Maintain quality control and ensure proper labeling and documentation
Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies
Adhere to all safety, regulatory, and compliance standards
Qualifications
Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) certification preferred
Experience with frozen sectioning (Mohs experience strongly preferred)
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
Excellent organizational and communication skills
