Job Overview
This post offers the opportunity to join the Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership as an experienced occupational therapist in a friendly, hardworking, and dynamic intermediate‑care multi‑disciplinary team. You will work in bed‑based intermediate care services at Ellens Glen Community Hospital and Finaly House Community Hospital, specialising in complex geriatric assessment, rehabilitation and complex discharge planning.
The post is part‑time, so salary will be pro‑rata.
Responsibilities
Conduct specialist occupational therapy assessments as part of the multidisciplinary team.
Set person‑centred goals with patients and their families and implement rehabilitation programmes.
Support the development of clinical and leadership skills, with opportunities to lead service improvement projects.
Provide expertise in complex discharge planning to facilitate safe transitions for patients.
Requirements
Current membership or record in a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme for the relevant regulatory group (child and/or adult).
Experienced occupational therapist with a background in complex geriatric rehabilitation.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Flexible, enthusiastic, innovative, and able to thrive when working as part of a team.
Legal Requirements
To work in the United Kingdom, an individual must have the relevant permission to work in the country, which is, without exception, granted by the UK Visa and Immigration Service. Further information on required checks, including any changes to regulatory requirements from 1 April 2025, will be confirmed by the Hiring Manager or the Recruitment Team.
