Responsible for planning and administering occupational therapy treatment plans designed to alleviate pain, restore function, prevent disabilities, and promote overall fitness and health of patients. Serves as a role model in delivery of professional services and as a clinical resource for staff and students.

Qualifications

Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR); Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days – American Heart Association (AHA).

Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (Required).

Relevant work experience required.

Responsibilities

Perform patient transfers with assistance as needed, demonstrating safe body mechanics.

Design and implement an appropriate plan of care integrating goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge plan; adjust based on patient response and evidence.

Assess, create, modify, and fit custom splints/orthotics.

Educate patients, families, caregivers, students, and other healthcare providers using relevant teaching methods.

Evaluate clinical findings to determine diagnoses and plan of care.

Perform examinations selecting reliable and valid methods appropriate to chief complaint, screening, and history.

Screen patients to determine effectiveness and need for therapy services, ensuring support personnel meet legal and ethical standards.

Monitor care delivered by support personnel and provide regular feedback.

Communicate with the medical team.

Maintain documentation per department and practice standards.

Meet customer service and productivity standards.

Serve as a clinical instructor when assigned.

Participate in team, program, department assignments and meetings.

Perform reporting and other duties as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $34.66 per hour to $59.62 per hour. The actual compensation offered may vary based on experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked, and compensation model.
