Position Title
Boiler Operator / Engineer - Duluth, MN
Job Overview
Join Primient for a foundational manufacturing role as a Boiler Operator / Engineer. You will support safe operation of our process through highly automated systems, performing inspections, reporting, and contributing to plant safety, with opportunities to grow into a skilled technician position.
Key Responsibilities
Help ensure safe operation of the process in a highly automated, state‑of‑the‑art system.
Perform routine and unscheduled inspections of the boiler, boiler room, oil dike, D.A. tank, nitrogen system, MA and sulfuric dikes, de‑ionized water system, and compressor systems.
Blow down the boiler gauge glass, inspect boiler proper, and execute blow‑down schedule according to water quality tests.
Monitor plant status through the ROUNDS system, including pH testing of boiler water and condensate return.
Carry out all duties in accordance with Minnesota regulations, FDA/ISO/CPG, GMP, and plant safety manuals.
Act as safety stand‑by for boiler room areas and assist with raw material unloading and other safety‑related activities.
Maintain cleanliness of the boiler room and associated areas.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
Basic math, reading, and problem‑solving skills.
Passionate about safety for self and coworkers.
State of Minnesota Engineer License 2nd Class ‘B’.
Experience operating a site boiler and associated equipment.
Experience operating de‑ionized water units (DIW).
Knowledge of and compliance with EHS requirements.
Ability to lift and carry up to 55 lbs.
Work Schedule
24/7/365 rotating day and night shifts with set shifts and overtime opportunities.
Compensation & Benefits
Starting pay $43.85/hr with overtime and a pay‑for‑skill system.
