Phlebotomist II Part‑Time – Piscataway, NJ
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9:30 AM – 2:00 PM with rotational Saturday.

COVID‑19 vaccination is required; unvaccinated individuals must undergo regular testing.

Pay: $19.41 – $29.12 per hour. Salary is based on skills, experience, education, and certifications; eligible for an annual performance bonus.

Responsibilities

Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).

Administer oral solutions per training.

Research test/client information and verify orders using lab technology systems and approved tools.

Navigate computer and enter data accurately.

Obtain identification, enter billing information, and collect payments as required.

Process specimens by labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport.

Perform non‑patient duties: inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and email.

Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.

Assist with the compilation and submission of statistics and data.

Maintain phlebotomy logs in a timely manner (maintenance logs, temperature logs).

Complete online and in‑person training courses on time.

Qualifications

Three years of phlebotomy experience (pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections).

Keyboard/data entry experience.

Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on‑call, and overtime.

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred: medical assistant or paramedic training.

Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Effective communication skills in English.
