Orthopedics Physician Assistant

Health Care System seeks to add an Orthopedic Physician Assistant to their team. This orthopedic Physician Assistant will be part of a fast-moving team that will be hospital based. The position will include both the OR and the clinic. This orthopedic Physician Assistant will support a Fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon. Cases will include total joints (focus) and other general cases. Specific responsibilities include first assisting, rounding, ED consults, pre and post-operative follow-ups and inpatient management. The successful candidate will run their own orthopedic clinic. The position is four ten-hour shifts or five eight-hour day shifts (weekdays) with no evenings or weekends. There is no call.

Ideal candidates should have orthopedic experience, or the group will train a PA with surgical experience in other specialties. The location is in Brooklyn, New York. In addition to excellent compensation there is overtime for additional shifts (time and a half), plus full benefits provided which includes 23 PTO days of vacation, medical, and insurance etc.
