
Clinical Instructor of Orthopaedic Surgery (Fellow) CHLA

Overview
The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC) and Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at CHLA are actively seeking a full‑time Clinical Instructor of Orthopaedic Surgery (Fellow) specializing in orthopaedic conditions to work along ten full‑time pediatric orthopaedic surgeons. This non‑ACGME Advanced Training in Orthopaedic Surgery at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is a one‑year clinical program beginning on August 1 and ending on July 31 of the following year.
Responsibilities
Approximately ninety percent of the Fellow’s time is involved with patient contact, either in the outpatient setting or in the operating room at multiple COC locations. Fellows will participate in the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative management of patients, run their own half‑day clinics, and function as attending on‑call approximately once per week at a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center with staff backup availability at all times.
Qualifications
Applicants must have completed an accredited orthopedic surgery program prior to the fellowship and must be Board‑eligible. A valid California medical license and a California fluoroscopy license are required prior to the start of the fellowship.
Salary
The annual base salary range for this position is $90,667–$117,086.
Practice Location
The primary practice location is at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, which is the largest and most comprehensive pediatric hospital in the Los Angeles area and includes a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and a state‑of‑the‑art Motion Analysis Laboratory. There may be additional travel to other off‑site centers.
