Requirements
Active RN License
Degree from accredited nursing program
BLS Certifications
Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Hospice setting
Other requirements to be determined by our client facility

Duties & Responsibilities
Hospice Nurses (RN) provide care for terminally ill patients. They work with patients, their families and other healthcare professionals during the final stages of life.
Assess a patient's situation, as well as detect changes in symptoms, health or pain, and will need to know when action is necessary.
Administer medications, monitor vital signs and subtle changes in a patient's health.
Remain sympathetic to a patient's needs, and be able to deal with people in various states of pain, trauma and tragedy.
Alleviate sudden symptoms of the disease’s end phase.
Help relatives cope with the upcoming loss and provide post‑mortem support.
