As a Vet Assistant, you will work closely with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and the hospital team to provide safe, efficient, and exceptional care to pets and their clients. This role supports pet health, client education, and the continuity of high‑quality veterinary services.
Job Description Summary
Key responsibilities include:
Maintaining patient flow and ensuring a smooth workflow for the practice.
Communicating effectively with veterinarians and veterinary technicians.
Performing procedures that do not require a veterinarian or technician’s direct assistance.
Adhering to hospital safety standards and keeping treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs clean.
Educating clients about our Optimum Wellness Plans® and preventive care.
Mentoring other hospital team members.
Qualifications
Preferred Education/Licenses:
Certificate of completion from a NAVTA‑approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent training and experience.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Preferred Experience:
Capacity to perform all NAVTA‑approved veterinary assistant skills at a level that enhances practice efficiency.
