About the Role


The Company is in search of a Vice President of Business Development to play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, market expansion, and distributor partnerships. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing scalable sales strategies, leading a high-performing sales and agronomy team, and shaping the company's long-term growth trajectory. Key responsibilities include owning and executing enterprise-wide sales strategies, developing multi-year growth plans, and identifying new markets and partnership opportunities. The role also involves leading all distributor partnerships, expanding and optimizing distributor networks, and ensuring brand alignment across channels. The VP will be a key member of the executive leadership team, providing market intelligence to guide product development and capacity planning, and will be expected to have a deep understanding of fertilizer distribution networks and grower adoption dynamics.

Applicants for the VP of Business Development position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in business, agriculture, agronomy, or a related field, with an MBA preferred. A minimum of 10 years' progressive sales leadership experience, including senior executive roles, is required, with a proven track record in leading multi-channel sales organizations and scaling revenue. The ideal candidate will have experience in fast-growth, operationally complex environments, and a background in fertilizer, crop nutrition, agronomy, or agricultural input markets is preferred. The role demands a strategic and analytical thinker with strong financial acumen, exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills, and the ability to develop and execute sales and market expansion strategies. Talent management, team-building expertise, and a collaborative, innovative problem-solving approach are also essential.
