Medical Assistant I – Pediatrics Department
Granger Medical Clinic is seeking an experienced and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Pediatric team at our Riverton Clinic. In this role, you will collaborate closely with physicians and clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care while supporting efficient clinic operations.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Mon, Wed, Fri @West Jordan Clinic; Tues & Thurs @ Riverton Clinic)
Pay Range:
$19.00/hour

Position Overview
As a Medical Assistant in Pediatrics, you will play a vital role in supporting providers and ensuring a positive experience for patients and their families.
Responsibilities
Conducting telephone triage and communicating with parents/guardians
Managing insurance authorizations and prior approvals
Recording vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, height, weight, etc.)
Administering immunizations
Performing phlebotomy and specimen collection
Preparing and maintaining exam rooms
Accurately documenting patient information
Qualifications & Skills
High School Diploma or GED, required
Medical Assistant Certification, preferred
1 year of experience in a medical office setting, preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Bilingual in English and Spanish REQUIRED
Dependable, flexible, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Essential Duties
Record and update patient demographics
Process prior authorizations and insurance documentation
Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers as needed
Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding care and scheduling
Perform additional duties as assigned
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Prolonged standing and walking
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Frequent use of computers and office equipment (repetitive motion)
Work performed in an indoor, climate-controlled environment
