Responsibilities
Major Responsibilities: Serves as a residential counselor for assigned clients using recovery-oriented principles.
Assists with client admissions and intake, including documentation, orienting to program, inventory, and contraband searches in accordance with program policy.
Implements and documents treatment plans and interventions in accordance with program policy and funder requirements.
Supports clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, budgeting, transportation, and relapse prevention.
Facilitates healthy menu planning, food shopping, and meal preparation.
Monitors and documents medication usage in accordance with the program model, assists with refills and appointments, observes client behavior, alerts medical staff of concerns quickly, and maintains accurate documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Prefer 1 year of experience; travel experience required where stated; charting system experience required (any system).
Education: Associate's Degree in psychology or human services is preferred.
Licensure & Certifications: Massachusetts license in hand required (where applicable); BLSSkills: Outpatient, Residential Center, Crisis Intervention, De-escalation techniques, Milieu management, Therapeutic communication skills.
Travel: Flexibility to travel within a 35 mile radius; may be required to travel/transport patients; advanced notice will be given for assignment location each day.
Scheduling: Weekend flexibility; 40 hours per week guaranteed; float to multiple CHL locations.
Additional Details
Weekends & hours: Flexibility is key; weekend coverage may be required.
Float & Location: May float to Faith House, Beryl s House, and Orchard Street within a 35 mile radius.
Documentation: All required background checks and education verifications per program must be completed; compliance deadlines apply.
