About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Business Development to join their dynamic, entrepreneurial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and converting a robust sales pipeline, managing the full sales lifecycle, and leading discovery conversations to understand prospect needs. This role requires the ability to present the company's value proposition persuasively to senior decision-makers, structure and negotiate deals that balance client value with company profitability, and maintain accurate CRM data for forecasting and activity tracking. The VP will also be expected to collaborate cross-functionally with various teams and represent the company at networking events, industry conferences, and trade shows.
Applicants for the VP, Business Development position at the company should have a minimum of 5 years' professional experience, with at least 2 years in marketing at a CPG company, and an MBA with a focus on strategy, finance, or marketing. The role is ideal for a candidate who is highly ambitious, competitive, and motivated by the challenge of winning new business. Strong business and financial acumen, experience with P&L ownership or financial responsibility, and comfort with commercial negotiations and value-based selling are essential.
