Summary Of Role
This is a full-time position working with the Benefits Administration and Claims Advocacy teams and reporting directly to the AVP, Benefit Administration. The role involves day-to-day claims advocacy for multiple clients, providing excellent customer service, handling standard claims issues for clients and their employees, and assisting senior team members with complex appeals as needed.

Work Arrangement
Local applicants will follow a hybrid schedule during the training period and transition to remote work after training. Out-of-state candidates must follow Eastern Standard Time.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Act as a liaison between insurance providers and clients regarding employee status and eligibility for coverage.

Resolve standard claim issues and provide assistance with complex or non-standard claim appeals.

Verify completion and validity of claim forms.

Review company records to determine coverage.

Calculate amounts of claims and submit for payment.

Ensure all client data is entered into CRM System (SalesForce) in a timely manner.

Knowledge, Skills, And/or Abilities

Knowledge of Medical, Dental, Vision Plans, and Flexible Spending Accounts required.

Experience with Insurance Carrier self-service portals and call centers is a plus.

Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

Vigorous attention to detail, highly organized, with the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.

Education And/or Experience

Four-year college or university degree or equivalent experience.

1-3 years of benefit administration or claims processing required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registration

New York State Life, Accident, and Health License a plus or willingness to obtain.
