Employee Health Services | The Lilly Foundry (Lebanon, IN)

The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Employee Health Services team at the Lilly Foundry site (Lebanon, IN). As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will deliver direct patient care to employees for on‑site emergencies, work‑related injuries, required medical health surveillance examinations, and episodic illnesses.

You will work alongside an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in collaboration with the broader health services team, supporting the medical needs of Lilly employees.

We are particularly interested in candidates with a passion for lifestyle medicine and a commitment to helping employees optimize their health through evidence‑based lifestyle interventions. This role offers the opportunity to support primary care delivery and make a substantial impact on employee wellness through nutrition guidance, physical activity counseling, stress management, and chronic disease prevention.

Schedule
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (flexibility to adjust hours and scope to meet site needs)

How You’ll Contribute

Protect employee wellbeing through health surveillance examinations, wellness screenings, and episodic care

Evaluate, treat, and follow up on employee work‑related injuries in partnership with the department nurse case manager

Coordinate health and wellness activities, including examinations, seminars, and screenings

Support primary care services by assisting the APP with patient assessments, care coordination, and chronic disease management

Champion lifestyle medicine principles by educating employees on nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, and other evidence‑based lifestyle interventions

Maintain thorough knowledge of Lilly's policies and procedures

Key Responsibilities – Clinical Care

Assess medical conditions and injuries on‑site using guidelines and initiate appropriate nursing interventions

Provide follow‑up care for all injuries and illnesses

Support annual preventive screenings and health surveillance examinations as required by OSHA

Respond to on‑site emergencies and implement first aid care for job‑related and non‑work‑related conditions

Educate employees on health behaviors, self‑care skills, and treatment options appropriate to their individual needs

Assist with primary care visits including patient intake, vital signs, point‑of‑care testing, and care plan follow‑up

Key Responsibilities – Lifestyle Medicine and Wellness

Apply lifestyle medicine principles to support employees in making sustainable behavior changes for improved health outcomes

Provide individualized coaching on nutrition, physical activity, weight management, sleep hygiene, and stress reduction

Collaborate with fitness professionals and wellness resources to develop exercise prescriptions and physical activity plans for employees

Support employees managing chronic conditions (diabetes, hypertension, obesity, metabolic syndrome) through lifestyle‑based interventions

Facilitate group education sessions on topics including heart health, diabetes prevention, movement and mobility, and healthy eating

Track and report lifestyle medicine program outcomes and employee engagement metrics

Key Responsibilities – Collaboration and Referrals

Collaborate with internal and external physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed

Provide appropriate physician referrals for personal illness and injuries, with consideration for employee location and cultural needs

Serve as a liaison to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), OSHA record keepers, and the department nurse case manager

Partner with exercise physiologists, dietitians, and wellness coaches to deliver comprehensive lifestyle interventions

Key Responsibilities – Wellness and Prevention

Support the Lilly Well‑Being Coordinator or Local Ambassador in promoting wellness programming

Serve as a resource for employees regarding wellness and lifestyle prevention and management of chronic diseases

Work with the Lilly pharmacist to provide travel immunizations and flu shot clinics as needed

Key Responsibilities – Compliance and Administration

Maintain medical records in accordance with HIPAA and other regulations

Report infectious diseases to appropriate local and state agencies as required by law

Develop awareness of potential industry‑related occupational hazards and advise local health and safety teams

Provide administrative support for the department, including medical supply ordering and equipment calibrations

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Current State of Indiana license as a Registered Professional Nurse, or have a nurse compact license that includes the state of Indiana

Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization or visas for this role, including but not limited to F‑1 CPT, F‑1 OPT, F‑1 STEM OPT, J‑1, H‑1B, TN, O‑1, E‑3, H‑1B1, or L‑1.

Preferences – Lifestyle Medicine and Exercise

Certification in Lifestyle Medicine (e.g., ACLM Certified Lifestyle Medicine Professional, or actively pursuing certification)

Demonstrated passion for lifestyle medicine and preventive health

Experience in exercise medicine, exercise prescription, or physical activity counseling

Background in health mentor, motivational interviewing, or behavior change techniques

Experience supporting patients with weight management, diabetes prevention, or cardiac rehabilitation programs

Knowledge of current evidence‑based guidelines for nutrition, physical activity, and chronic disease prevention

Clinical Experience

At least 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in a corporate environment, ambulatory care, primary care, occupational medicine, or emergency room

Experience supporting primary care providers with patient assessments and care coordination

CPR for Healthcare Provider certification (by hire date)

Prior experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

ACLS certification (by hire date)

Certifications and Skills

Certification as an Occupational Health Nurse (preferred)

Spirometry and Hearing Conservation Certifications (preferred)

Ability to assess and treat according to the Nurse Practice Act

High level of customer service and client responsiveness

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and AI‑based solutions

Comfort and competence working as a sole clinician when needed

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is $58,500 – $137,500.

Full‑time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
