• Patient Demographics: Adults

• Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 70-80 reads per 8-hour shift

• Case Mix: Diagnostic radiology including plain films, CT, MRI, and stroke protocol imaging

• Office Equipment Available: PACS (GE)

• Specialty Backup Available: Cardiologists for cardiac ultrasound reads

• Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

• Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 16 weeks

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• Diagnostic radiology reads (plain films, CT, MRI)

• Stroke protocol CT interpretation

• MRI abdominal and joint imaging (preferred)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active state license required or willingness to obtain

• Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology

• DEA: Not Specified

• Experience: Diagnostic radiology experience required

• Other Qualifications: Ability to meet turnaround time metrics; experience with high-volume reading environments

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform diagnostic radiology reads across multiple imaging modalities

• Interpret stroke protocol imaging with rapid turnaround expectations

• Maintain efficiency standards for read volume and turnaround times

• Communicate critical findings within required timeframes

• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting using PACS systems
