• Facility: 116-bed hospital with Level 2 Special Care Nursery, 6 L&D beds, 3 NSTs, and 9 OB beds

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (required)
• Active, unrestricted medical license required; South Carolina license preferred (consideration for multi-state licensure if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of recent OB/GYN clinical experience; prior locum tenens experience a plus
• Ability to complete delineation of privileges prior to interview
• Strong clinical skills in obstetrics and gynecology, including routine and complicated deliveries, VBACs, and neonatal stabilization
• Proficiency in OB ultrasound interpretation (Level I and II) and management of high-risk pregnancies
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour labor & delivery call coverage for low- and high-risk pregnancies during assigned weekend (Ob/Gyn call coverage)
• Manage vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including VBACs, breech, and multiple births
• Perform and interpret OB ultrasounds (Level I & II) and coordinate maternal-fetal care as needed
• Handle complicated deliveries and perform repairs (including 3rd & 4th degree laceration repair)
• Provide office-based gynecology procedures during clinic days when covering (IUD insertion/removal, colposcopy, cryotherapy, LEEP, minor procedures)
• Participate in surgical gynecology (open and laparoscopic cases) as required
• Collaborate with hospital nursing, neonatal, and ancillary teams to ensure high-quality, evidence-based women's health care
