• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (travel physician / travel surgeon)
• Location: Williamsport, PA 17701 (Lycoming County, north-central Pennsylvania)
• Start Date: June 1, 2026
• End Date: August 31, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shifts: 24-hour call (Monday 8am - Monday 8am), 2 weeks per month plus sporadic PTO coverage
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $6,150 - $7,280 (competitive locum tenens pay for General Surgery)

Required Qualifications (General Surgeon)

• MD or DO degree
• Board certified or board eligible in General Surgery
• Active and unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania or ability to obtain PA medical license
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital surgical setting (inpatient surgery / OR experience preferred)
• Willingness and ability to participate in 24-hour call rotations

Core Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive surgical care including operative cases in the OR and procedures in IR labs
• Perform inpatient rounds and coordinate care with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) for consults, new consults, and discharges
• Respond to emergent and scheduled surgical consults; manage pre- and post-operative patient care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes in a community hospital setting
• Maintain timely, accurate medical documentation and follow institutional protocols
