Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Participation in on-call rotation and flexibility for evenings or weekends as needed
Overview
Boys & Girls Haven is seeking a full‑time Therapist to provide trauma‑informed clinical services to youth in our residential treatment program. This role supports youth who have experienced abuse, neglect, and complex trauma through evidence‑based therapeutic interventions and multidisciplinary care.
Position Description
The Therapist provides individual, family, and group therapy services within a residential setting, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to support treatment planning and clinical progress. This role is responsible for completing assessments, developing treatment plans, and maintaining consistent, high‑quality documentation aligned with clinical and regulatory standards.
Clinical Practice
Provide individual, family, and group therapy services to youth in residential care
Complete assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
Maintain accurate, timely documentation that reflects clinical services and progress
Participate in treatment team meetings and ongoing care coordination
Support crisis intervention and collaborate with residential staff and leadership
Professional Responsibilities
Participate in regular clinical supervision
Complete required training, including trauma‑informed care and mandated reporting
Contribute to program quality improvement and accreditation efforts
Provide consultation and support to residential staff on trauma‑informed approaches
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or related field
Licensed or license‑eligible in Kentucky (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or associate/intern status with supervision available)
Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience with children, adolescents, or young adults preferred
Experience working in residential, foster care, or child welfare settings strongly preferred
Knowledge of trauma and its impact on development
Experience with evidence‑based treatment models such as TF‑CBT, DBT, or similar
Compensation and Benefits
