Position Overview
We are looking for an
Experienced
Environmental Specialist
to assist group leadership in the development of NEPA documentation for transportation projects. This role involves assisting with the oversight of environmental studies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing technical guidance to junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in and oversee the management and compilation of entire NEPA documents for transportation projects.
Conduct detailed studies on cultural, physical, and social environmental impacts.
Oversee junior staff and review their work for accuracy and completeness.
Coordinate with agencies, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure compliance.
Provide technical guidance and quality assurance throughout the documentation process.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Environmental Science, Planning, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in NEPA documentation for transportation projects.
Demonstrated ability to lead environmental studies and documentation efforts.
Excellent communication and project management skills.
Professional certifications or advanced training in NEPA processes preferred.
