Key Responsibilities
Primary driver of service trucks.
Make initial contact with the person in charge upon arrival on site and explain the day's work.
Install HVAC filters in various types of air handlers.
Clean all debris and spent filters off rooftops and dispose of them properly.
Perform visual inspections of each unit during the service.
Take responsibility for Service Tech I work assigned.
Document filter bank data and initial filters.
Take notes of any deficiencies and forward them to the manager to contact the customer.
At the completion of work, remove and dispose of all trash created.
Obtain paperwork signatures.
Maintain the service truck as noted in the vehicle specification guide.
Account for all tools.
Load and unload the truck.
Make deliveries and pickups when necessary.
Be a team player; able to work with others.
Occasionally travel out of town for service jobs.
Pass a background check for fingerprinting and badging access to secure sites.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High school diploma.
Transportation to the branch.
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
Ability to lift 25+ pounds as needed.
Experience working indoors and outdoors.
Experience driving 16‑ft box trucks.
Comfortable with hand tools.
Basic HVAC technical knowledge.
Valid driver’s license.
Clean driving record.
Ability to pass a DOT Physical Examination.
Basic math skills to calculate percentages and verify figures.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co‑workers.
Work environment may be partially indoors and partially outdoors; aware of people walking in front of oncoming forklifts.
Safety glasses required at all times in the production area to protect against dust and particles.
Closed‑toe shoes and long pants required; sleeveless shirts prohibited in warehouse and production areas.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, sit or stand for extended periods, operate a computer accurately, reach with hands and arms, and climb ladders and stairs.
Must be able to withstand both hot and cold atmospheres depending on weather conditions.
Must not be afraid of heights.
