HVAC/R Service Technician

Mechanical Systems & Service MSS
Located in West Monroe, LA is expanding our operations, and we are looking for an experienced HVAC / R technician to join our team! This position will cover Jackson MS area along with parts of AL and LA. We are looking for a technician who is open to traveling to these locations.
What You'll Do
Perform routine repairs to pump seals, bearings, etc.
Inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions.
Determine customer concerns with HVAC and boiler systems.
Follow standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and keeping a clean work area.
Record and report faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders.
Adjust system controls to settings recommended by the manufacturer to balance the system.
Recommend, develop, or perform maintenance such as cleaning, power‑washing, vacuuming equipment, lubricating parts, or changing filters.
Install auxiliary components to heating‑cooling equipment, such as expansion and discharge valves, air ducts, pipes, blowers, dampers, flues, and stokers, following blueprints.
Study blueprints, design specifications, and manufacturers’ recommendations to ascertain the configuration of heating or cooling equipment components and to ensure proper installation.
Fabricate, assemble, or install duct work or chassis parts using portable metal‑working tools or welding equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
5+ years of commercial HVAC maintenance experience.
Universally EPA Certified.
Ability to troubleshoot HVAC components with built‑up systems and packaged units, which may include chiller air handler pump towers, cooling towers, control systems, boilers and air handling systems.
Ability to learn commercial expertise in boilers, chillers, pneumatic controls, digital controls and packaged HVAC equipment.
Ability to read electronic schematics.
High School diploma/GED required + equivalent work experience.
