Overview

With over a century of printing experience, MCC focuses on sustainable packaging solutions and consumer-driven innovations. We are currently looking for a Machine Operator to join our team. Experience is not required but is a bonus.
Responsibilities

Continuously checks for print and seam quality.
Removes defective material and splices the roll web back together per the specification.
Utilizes a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing procedure (tools are used as necessary).
Handles rolls and palletizes them to prevent damage.
Understands basic printing and seam-related defects.
Records and enters data on designated paperwork and in the company operation system (Globetek).
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide to compute label counts and conversions; works with common units of money, weight, volume, and distance.
Ability to use simple Windows-based applications.
Physical requirements: standing, using hands to finger, feel and touch; reaching with arms and hands; talking and hearing. Frequent walking. Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Compensation and Benefits

Compensation: $19/hr-$22/hour (depending on experience).
Generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance and 401(k).
Paid holidays: New Year’s, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, plus two floating holidays.
