NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Longmont, CO.
This role is ideal for clinicians who value autonomy, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and want to make a meaningful impact while practicing in a well-supported urgent care setting.
You will treat a broad patient population with generally low-to-moderate acuity, allowing you to maintain a wide clinical skillset without inpatient responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages
- Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
- Perform procedures including suturing, I&Ds, splinting, and wound care
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging
- Provide clear patient education and discharge instructions
- Document care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
- Maintain productivity aligned with urgent care benchmarks
- Active, unrestricted Colorado license (NP or PA)
- Board certification (AANP/ANCC or NCCPA)
- Active DEA license (or ability to obtain)
- Active BLS certification
- Ability to treat patients of all ages
- EHR proficiency
- Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays
- DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered)
- Minimum of 1 year of urgent care experience or 1 year of post-graduate clinical experience
- Urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience
- Strong procedural skills (suturing, splinting, wound care)
- Experience with initial X-ray interpretation
