Duties
Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites and industrial facilities.
Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform wiring, conduit installation, and other electrical tasks.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to support basic testing of electrical circuits using tools like ohmmeters and multimeters to ensure proper functionality.
Support the set‑up of low voltage and high voltage systems in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
Help maintain a clean and organized work environment by managing materials and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Collaborate with team members on construction projects, including framing carpentry tasks when needed.
Qualifications
Prior experience or familiarity with industrial or commercial electrician work is a plus but not required.
Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprint reading, and basic electrical theory.
Experience working on construction sites or in construction‑related roles is highly valued; ability to handle low voltage and high voltage systems safely following NEC guidelines.
Strong attention to detail when using testing devices such as ohmmeters.
Basic understanding of frame carpentry or related construction skills is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward learning new skills.
Education
Enrolled (or willing to enroll) in a school/classes that will help obtain the necessary amount of classroom hours to test for a PV2 or E2 license.
