Job Responsibilities
Read blueprints for work planning.
Understand concrete forming; build concrete forms and other structures.
Complete rough and finishing carpentry tasks, utilizing appropriate math skills.
Check completed units to ensure they are level, square, plumb and the right size, shape and location. Adjust work as required.
Cut, shape, and join materials.
Layout and place rebar.
Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Ensure that proper safety and incident‑reporting procedures are followed, bringing problems to the attention of the foreman, safety manager or human resources.
Qualifications
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The position involves lifting heavy objects, walking and standing for long periods, performing strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and can effectively jump, sprint or throw objects.
The position requires good manual dexterity and multi‑limb coordination, quick arm and leg movements, and excellent stamina.
