Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Per Diem - Night Shift
Position Highlights
Position: Per Diem, Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery and postpartum
Location: Evanston and Highland Park Hospitals
Full Time/Part Time: Per Diem
Hours: Night shift 2300-0730 and 1900-0730; weekend and holiday requirements per level agreement
Per Diem Commitment Level: Per Diem Level 1: 32-72 hrs. or Per Diem Level 2: 73-110 hrs. or Per Diem Level 3: 111-144 hrs. per 6-week schedule
Required Travel: Evanston and Highland Hospital
What you will do
Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for labor and delivery and postpartum patients
Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
Positively contribute to safety outcomes and promote high quality patient experience
What you will need
License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
Certification: BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP Certification for the Healthcare Provider required (AHA)
Experience: A minimum two years of recent acute care clinical experience in Labor and Delivery and postpartum required
Unique or Preferred Skills: Labor and Delivery and postpartum experience required
