Position Summary
Behavioral health experience is defined as work experience providing direct care to individuals whose condition is related to mental disorder, a personality disorder, substance use, or a significant psychological or behavioral response to an identifiable stressor. Employee will serve as a Clinician at Scottsdale Serenity. This position is responsible for completing intake biopsychosocial assessments in a residential treatment facility environment to determine if Scottsdale Serenity is an appropriate level of care. If deemed appropriate, the Clinician will develop an individualized treatment plan for the admitted client. This position also completes the prior authorizations with the different health plans based on established ongoing necessity for care at the level provided. The Clinician will also conduct core groups including process groups for Scottsdale Serenity active clients. The Clinician will also conduct individual therapy sessions for active clients. The maximum BHRF caseload will be 5 active clients. If the member is not appropriate for this level of care, the Clinician will help in identifying alternative services for the best outcomes for the member. The Clinician will ensure the successful achievement of Scottsdale Serenity\'s vision, mission, program objective and compliance with a broad range of regulations and policies. Provision of services will occur on site in an office, group room or other designated place of service on the premises.
Duties
Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with clients
Complete intake biopsychosocial assessments
Develop individualized treatment plans for admitted clients
Utilize appropriate evidence-based practices to meet the needs of the individual or family.
Ability to determine and implement appropriate determinations for level of care utilizing the ASAM criteria.
Complete prior authorization to each of the health plans after a thorough assessment has been completed
Conduct groups for active clients including process groups and other core groups
Conduct individual therapy sessions for active clients on a weekly basis
Document appropriately in Kipu EMR/EHR
Qualifications
Masters degree, i.e., MA, MC, MSW, in a behavioral health field, Arizona license, independent or associate level licensure.
Preferred-
One year minimum of experience practicing in one of the licenses listed below.
Highly preferred: LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LIAC.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must have or be able to attain CPR/First Aid certification within 60 days of assuming role.
Must have valid Arizona driver’s license, be 21 years of age with minimum 4 years driving experience and meet requirements of Scottsdale Serenity's driving policy
Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card
