
Automotive Technician - Entry Level

Responsibilities
Perform basic maintenance and repairs on inventory vehicles.
Explain automotive repairs and issues to management to minimize re‑work and delays in production.
Properly document all work performed in DT systems.
Keep the area clean and organized to maintain the highest level of safety and compliance.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficient in basic automotive repair.
Able to meet metric performance targets.
Able to learn and operate basic computer systems.
Organized and punctual.
Maintain a safe and compliant workspace.
Good communication skills to present findings and share with leadership.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required; Certificate or Associate’s degree in automotive technology or 2+ years of automotive repair experience.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
At least 18 years of age.
Physical Requirements
The Physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions. This is a
safety sensitive position .
Lift up to 60 pounds independently; majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights; other lifting required from various levels.
Carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet.
Stand for extended periods with frequent stretching, reaching, walking and stooping, pushing and/or pulling; environment may be cold, hot, noisy, wet, and may contain fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance.
Excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity.
Use safety equipment including (but not limited to) face shield or goggles, non‑slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments.
Drive and type frequently.
Adhere to regular and predictable attendance.
Must be able to communicate in English to ensure effective performance in a safety‑sensitive/technical environment.
