Nurse Practitioner - Perioperative/Patient Care Coordinator
Location
Naval Medical Center San Diego, California
Position Highlights
Outstanding work/life balance: Services provided Monday through Friday, 0630 – 1500 hours
8‑hour shifts with a 30‑minute lunch break

Requirements
Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
Minimum of 5 years of advanced practice provider experience, including at least 3 years in a surgical or procedural subspecialty (e.g., maxillofacial surgery, ENT, plastic surgery, trauma, head and neck oncology preferred)
Demonstrated experience managing complex perioperative patients in inpatient and outpatient settings
Experience coordinating care for multidisciplinary and high‑acuity patient populations
Proficiency in ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies and prescribing medications per institutional policy
Experience in care coordination, case management, or clinical program support
Demonstrated ability to collaborate closely with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams
Experience overseeing or mentoring clinical support staff and contributing to efficient clinic operations
Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing specialty program recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
Licensure: Current, active, unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in any U.S. jurisdiction
