
Physical Therapist (Holistic Health and Fitness).

Responsibilities
Advanced knowledge of the full range of injury screening and prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment to maximize Soldier performance and improve unit readiness.
Advanced practical knowledge of physical therapy skills, evidence-based practice, data collection and reporting as part of the Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) team.
Provide recommendations for injury screening and prevention.
Research, analyze, and report on injury control and program effectiveness.
Participate on the Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) Integration Team to establish policies and procedures for H2F injury control teams.
Requirements
A probationary period may be required.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
The employee may be required to work overtime and/or other than normal duty hours for data collection, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
This position requires the completion of a pre‑employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
You may be expected to travel up to 25% of the time for this position.
This position is subject to screening and update of required immunizations unless exempted for medical or administrative reasons in accordance with Army Regulation 40‑562, Chapters 3 and 4.
This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement. Candidates will be required to sign a statement consenting to annual seasonal influenza vaccination unless exempted for medical or religious reasons.
This position requires that the incumbent be able to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges.
This position requires Basic Life Support training certification from, or in accordance with, the American Heart Association and American Red Cross. Current Advanced Life Support or other advanced certification does not supersede BLS completion.
This position is subject to pre‑employment and random drug testing.
May be expected to perform moderate to heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs.
This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance Level as a condition of employment.
Qualifications
U.S. Citizen.
Graduate degree in Physical Therapy approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, with completion of the required clinical hours.
Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physical Therapist from a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory; and has passed the National Physical Therapy Examination administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT).
One year of specialized experience in a performance enhancement Physical Therapy program, including evaluations, interventions, and coordination with a multi‑disciplinary team.
Foreign education: Must be evaluated by a private organization and deemed equivalent to U.S. accredited education, or full credit given for equivalent courses.
Exemption: Current federal employee in the 0633 occupational series employed continuously since September 27, 2017 or earlier may be exempt from the basic requirements.
