
Registered Nurse - Endoscopy - Day Shift

Overview
Location: Hampton, VA. Shift: Days (07:00–15:30) with rotating call. Full‑time. Sign‑on bonus of $15,000 and relocation assistance available for qualified candidates. Clinical team: Endoscopy and GI Lab.
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and versatile registered nurse for our 2‑lab Endoscopy Department. This role involves rotating through all aspects of the endoscopy environment, including circulator, sedation nurse, and procedure assistant (RN technician). The RN will work side‑by‑side with proceduralists during complex GI and pulmonary cases, ensuring high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
Clinical Scope & Procedures
Diagnostic EGDs and colonoscopies, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), ERCP, endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR)
Diagnostic bronchoscopies, navigational bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS)
Key Responsibilities
Circulate and provide patient care during procedures, document accurately, maintain safety standards.
Administer and monitor moderate sedation under physician instruction and maintain airway and hemodynamic monitoring.
Assist as primary bedside support (scrub/tech duties), handling accessories, specimen collection, and advanced therapeutic interventions.
Perform high‑level disinfection and reprocessing of flexible endoscopes and accessories per infection control standards.
Collaborate with anesthesia team, physicians, and support staff for efficient room turnover and workflow.
Qualifications
License and certification: Virginia or Compact Multi‑State license in good standing.
BLS required within 90 days of hire.
ACLS required.
CGRN certification is a plus.
Prior endoscopy experience preferred; ERCP/EUS experience highly desirable but not mandatory.
Willingness to train and learn modalities such as EUS, EBUS, and ESD.
