Job Overview
The Broward Addiction Recovery Division seeks qualified Behavioral Health Clinicians to provide counseling, screening, assessment, and intervention to individuals and families. Positions are available in Admissions, Residential, Detoxification, and Outpatient services.

Organization
Broward Addiction Recovery Center (BARC) serves Broward County residents since 1973 and offers a continuum of care including inpatient detoxification, medication‑assisted treatment, intensive outpatient programming, and case management. Accredited by the Joint Commission and licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Families.
Responsibilities
Conduct clinical interviews, biopsychosocial evaluations, and group and individual counseling sessions.
Apply advanced diagnostic and assessment techniques to evaluate high‑risk populations.
Develop and implement treatment plans with program participants.
Facilitate intermediate and advanced group sessions on substance abuse and co‑occurring issues.
Maintain clinical records electronically or manually using computer applications.
Observe, evaluate, monitor, report, and record client status and progress.
Attend multidisciplinary meetings to discuss clinical cases.
Coordinate services and facilitate discharge planning with case managers.
Attend periodic trainings to maintain clinical competency.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Master’s degree from an accredited institution with major coursework in social work, gerontology, psychology, counseling, or a closely related field.
One (1) year of service‑based casework, counseling, or a related field.
Six (6) months of clinical case management experience.
Special Requirements
May be required to work nights, weekends, or holidays depending on area of assignment.
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License for the duration of appointment.
Special Certifications and Licenses
Valid Florida licensure as LMFT, LCSW, LMHC, or clinical psychologist; additional licensures may be required depending on assignment.
Must maintain certifications as required by the Florida Department of Health.
Preferences
Licensure as LMFT, LCSW, LMHC, or clinical psychologist.
Master’s Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP) or Certified Addictions Professional (CAP).
Doctorate degree in a related field.
Bilingual in English‑Spanish or Creole.
Experience as a qualified supervisor approved by the Florida Department of Health.

Work is predominantly sedentary, involving walking, standing, and computer use. Unavoidable hazards include routine traffic exposure and moving machinery. The role may require standing or walking some of the time.
