LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE – GERIATRIC

Contract Position
Pay: $38 to $50 per hour
Full Time. 40 hours per week
1.0 FTE. Long term federal contract
Position Overview
Provide practical nursing care to geriatric veterans under RN and physician supervision across the VA Palo Alto Health Care System. Initial assignment at Menlo Park with possible rotation to Palo Alto main campus and other VAPAHCS locations.
Duties
Perform basic patient assessments and vital signs
Administer medications and treatments
Assist with activities of daily living
Perform wound care and specimen collection
Document in VA electronic medical record
Support infection control and safety standards
Schedule
Day, evening, or rotating shifts
Monday through Friday with possible weekends
Federal holidays observed
Requirements
Active LPN or LVN license in any US state
BLS required
Minimum 1 year recent long-term care, rehab, or acute care experience
Ability to pass VA background and credentialing
Contract Details
Full time, on-site
